Safeguarding

We all have a statutory duty to “safeguard and promote the welfare of children” and the safety of our young people is paramount to us. At Springwell Alternative Academy Grantham we have robust safeguarding practice and procedures, overseen by a very experienced Safeguarding Team. 

The Grantham Safeguarding Team is made up of:

George Tucker (Head of Academy) – Designated Safeguarding Lead

Sarah Hurley (Executive Vice Principal) – Designated Safeguarding Deputy

Jayne Battersby (Pastoral Lead) – Designated Safeguarding Deputy

Lisa Ashcroft-Day (Executive Principal) – Designated Safeguarding Deputy

Alison Hopkins (Pupil Parent Support Team) – Designated Safeguarding Deputy
