Terri began teaching in 2010 after completing a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences and a PGCE in Secondary Science. She spent 14 years working in Mainstream Education in roles such as Teacher of Science, Assistant KS4 Progress Leader, Lead teacher of Biology, Second in Science, Head of Science and Associate Senior Leader with a particular focus on behaviour and curriculum development.

Whilst teaching Terri quickly realised that all students learn differently and the role of a teacher was to facilitate learning, she has found the pastoral support system to be her strength and has always strived to look for the reasons behind behaviour and support students to overcome barriers.

Terri joined Springwell in 2025 as Assistant Principal (Teaching and Learning) and very quickly was promoted to the role of Interim Head of Academy. She is passionate about each child receiving a broad curriculum that provides them with a foundation of knowledge that will prepare them for their future, develop their essential skills and help them to navigate the world around them.

Louise began teaching in 2014 after completing a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science and a PGCE in Chemistry. She  spent several years working in Further Education where she was able to develop her understanding of pedagogy and teaching and learning through a variety of roles including; Lecturer in Chemistry, Head of Applied Science, Programme Leader for A –level Biology, Assistant Principal (Teaching and Learning) and now Assistant Principal/ SENCO.

Whilst in College, Louise found that she had a predilection for supporting pupils who had Special Educational Needs; particularly those children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues.

She joined Springwell in 2022 as Assistant Principal (Teaching and Learning). This broadened her understanding of how education can become more inclusive for all.

Louise is passionate about each child receiving high quality education with the correct level of support and provision in place. As SENCO, she developed an interest in EHCPs and how they could be implemented to provide a legal framework of support for the most vulnerable children in education. She advocates for children with SEND needs and is tenacious in her approach.
